About Max.
Maxita is a singer-songwriter, producer, and filmmaker redefining synthpop from the comfort of her home studio in Salta, Argentina.
Born and raised in Salta, Argentina—a city known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich culture—Max always felt there was something more waiting for her. Surrounded by music since birth, she cannot recall a moment when she wasn’t singing. At age 8, she began guitar lessons, playing her favorite songs in her bedroom. However, despite growing up in a strong musical culture, she never felt drawn to Argentinian folklore. Instead, she found solace in English-language music, inspired by powerhouse artists like Amy Winehouse and Adele.
During her teens, Max uploaded covers online, leading to collaborations with local artists like Los del Portezuelo. In 2014 she entered American Idol pre-selection in Miami, FL, where she became a finalist, but Max decided to leave the competition to spend an exchange year in Germany, where she was invited to perform at Da Capo Jazz. Her exchange deepened her artistic reflection and sparked her interest in different kinds of arts.
After high school, she pursued filmmaking in Córdoba, Argentina, shaping her visual identity and storytelling abilities. But music remained an undeniable calling. She later enrolled in an Audio Technician program, gaining hands-on experience as a studio and live sound engineer, working with talented artists such as El Perfil.
Determined to expand her horizons, Max applied to international music production schools. In 2022, she earned a scholarship at The Bass Valley in Barcelona and furthered her studies at School Training in Málaga. Between 2022 and 2024, she lived between Belgium and Spain, working in marketing, audio engineering, and filmmaking. However, a conversation with her close friend, Joaquin Galván, changed everything:
“You weren’t meant to work backstage. You were born to perform on stage, in front of the cameras.”
This realization led her to take a leap of faith. After earning a Master’s in Music Production, Mixing & Mastering at School Training, she made a life-changing decision: to pursue music full-time. Leaving behind her life in Europe, she returned to her childhood bedroom in Salta, where she locked herself away for months, producing her own songs. In just four months of full-time dedication, she released her debut single, Perfect Crime, under her own label, Atiko RCRDS.
Now, Maxita faces the challenge of making English-language music in a predominantly Spanish-speaking country. But she firmly believes that anything is possible. Alongside her music, she documents her bucket list journey, proving that dreams are achievable despite setbacks and obstacles. Her mission is to inspire others to chase their ambitions and live life to the fullest.
As of February 2025, Maxita is independently building her music career from her home in Salta, sharing her creative process with the world. With unwavering determination, she is laying the foundation for her next chapter—returning to Europe, stronger than ever.
